All different types of trend can affect how a supplier and formulator will develop their products, and right now it is texture and instant gratification that has influenced Croda's latest innovations.

Speaking with Karen Ryan and Alice Miles, from the UK-based firm, they tell us how products are currently being developed based on the latest trends.

According to Ryan, consumers are now demanding products that show a transformation on application, as expected, but that also have the element of surprise and the 'wow factor' for consumers.

Miles demonstrates a few of the new products that Croda showcased at the in-cosmetics trade show in Paris, including a cloud-like formulation tapping into the anti-pollution trend, as well as one that looks like ice cream and claims instant skin smoothing.

Karen also tells us of the 'Be Skinspired' campaign that the Croda Group launched at the show, combining the expertise of Croda, Sederma, and Crodarom.
