The optical trend has evolved into a significant part of the skin care and colour cosmetics categories that continues to evolve to bring new effects for consumers, explains Heidi Lebel, marketing director at Presperse.

During this interview, Lebel explains how Presperse has evolved as an expert in optics for the skin, providing optical effects that provide anything from a blurring effect, to enhance the skin tone and complexion, to "wow" effects for colour cosmetics that play with light to ensure stand out.

Looking to the future, Lebel explains that technologies are continuing to combine to give increasingly dynamic lightning and brightening effects, but claims will be limited by regulations that govern how far a product can go to change the appearance.
